The APA Apollo Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of the APA Apollo Group, announced an expansion of its community programmes, extending its reach to thousands of additional families across Kenya in 2026.
Building on its long-standing commitment to insuring happiness beyond insurance products, the Foundation's expanded agenda focuses on three pillars: community health, education, and financial inclusion. Free medical camps and cancer-screening drives will be rolled out in partnership with county health departments, while a growing scholarship programme will support bright students from under-resourced communities.
"Our purpose has always extended beyond policies and premiums," said Grace Nganga Macharia, Group Head of Corporate Communications & Marketing. "Through the Foundation, we invest directly in the wellbeing and resilience of the communities we serve. Healthy, educated, financially empowered families are the foundation of a thriving society."
The financial literacy component, delivered through community groups and chama meetings, equips participants with practical knowledge on saving, investing, and protecting their families against unexpected shocks — reinforcing the Group's belief that prevention and preparedness are the truest forms of care.
